The social marketplace
for trading card
collectors.

Buy, sell, and organize every card you own — all in one place, built from the ground up for the way collectors think.

Everything the hobby deserves

Connect with collectors

At its core, CardBox is a social network built around trading cards. Follow other collectors, share your latest pulls, and talk grails in a feed where every post is about the hobby you love.

Buy & sell with confidence

A marketplace built for collectors, not casual resellers. List cards in minutes, reach buyers who understand graded value, and close deals without friction.

Track your collection

Track every card you own — value, condition, grading history, and provenance — all in one living collection that updates in real time.

Smart Upload

CardBox's recognition engine cross-references millions of cards to surface the right match, current market value, and comparable recent sales — instantly, with a single photo.

No manual entry. No second-guessing. The card is in your collection before you've put it back in the sleeve.

Show off your grails

CardBox isn't a generic marketplace with a card category tacked on. It's built from the ground up for the way collectors think — by condition, by set, by rarity, by value. Whether you're hunting a PSA 10 rookie or moving duplicates from last year's case break, CardBox connects you with the right people.

Real collectors. Real trades. No noise.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

CardBox is a social marketplace for trading card collectors. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with when you buy, sell, and track cards on CardBox.

Information we collect

  • Account & profile: email, password (stored hashed), username, display name, and optional bio, location, website, and avatar. If you turn on two-factor authentication, we store the secret used to verify your codes.
  • Your collection: the cards you add — player, set, year, condition, grading, serial numbers, your estimated values, and any photos you upload.
  • Marketplace activity: listings, offers and counter-offers, orders, prices, reviews, comments, reactions, and the collectors you follow.
  • Payments: handled by our third-party payment processor. We don't store full card or bank numbers — only limited identifiers (such as a card's last four digits and the account references our processor needs) to charge buyers and pay sellers.
  • Shipping: names, addresses, and phone numbers used to create labels and tracking for orders.
  • Messages: direct messages and any images you share in conversations.
  • Device & usage: IP address, browser type, approximate location, and session activity, used to keep your account secure.

How we use your information

  • Operate the marketplace — list cards, handle offers and orders, and complete payments and payouts.
  • Power Smart Upload: identify cards from your photos and suggest details, matches, and pricing.
  • Ship orders and provide tracking.
  • Send transactional emails such as confirmations, password resets, and notifications you've enabled.
  • Protect against fraud and abuse and keep your account secure.

Smart Upload and AI

When you use Smart Upload, the card photos you submit are sent to a third-party AI provider to read the card and extract its details, and those details are checked against a third-party card catalog and pricing service to find matches and current market values.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run CardBox, and with other users where you choose to make information public:

  • Payment and payout processors — to charge buyers and pay sellers
  • AI and card-data providers — to recognize cards from your photos and look up catalog and pricing information
  • Shipping providers — to generate rates, labels, and tracking
  • Email delivery providers — to send transactional messages
  • Cloud hosting and storage providers — to store your uploaded images and run the service
  • Single sign-on providers — only if you choose to sign in through a third-party account
  • Other collectors — your public profile, listings, posts, and reviews are visible to the community; your contact, payment, and private details are not.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect CardBox and its users.

Cookies & sessions

We use a secure, signed session cookie to keep you signed in and to guard against cross-site request forgery, and we record your active sessions (device, browser, and IP) so you can review them and sign out remotely. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, two-factor authentication is available, and uploaded files are served through expiring, signed links. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Data retention

We keep transaction records — orders, payments, and shipping — as long as needed for dispute resolution, tax, and legal compliance. Other content is kept until you delete it or close your account.

Children

CardBox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We will update this policy as CardBox evolves and revise the date above when we do.
